Research Tutorial

 Research Tutorial

Empower is a good general tutorial on conducting research--it is especially helpful for students new to research, or students new to the university.

Where to Start

 Starting Your Research

Since imagery is all important in the review of clothing design, apparel resources must be visually rich. To satisfy this demand the library maintains a number of electronic sources which access photographs of current styles. Also available are a number of magazine subcriptions, both foreign and domestic, which have been selected for their illustrative content. Of course, the circulating book collection with its emphasis on historical costume and designer collections, should also be reviewed for appropriate images.

In searching the book collection, consider using the following terms under subject browse:

apparel
clothing and dress
costume
fashion
